DN Straight Reducers, Short

Basic concepts
DN: The nominal diameter, also known as the average outer diameter, is not the outer or inner diameter of a pipeline. It is a size representation that is smaller than the outer diameter and larger than the inner diameter, used to identify the specifications and sizes of pipelines and fittings.
Straight Reducers: Refers to equal diameter reducers, also known as concentric reducers, which are fittings used to connect pipes of different diameters, allowing the pipe diameter to gradually or suddenly decrease to meet the needs of different pipeline systems.
Short: This type of reducer has a shorter length and a smaller ratio of length to diameter compared to conventional or long reducers, with a relatively shorter transition section.
purpose
Variable diameter connection in pipeline systems: In various pipeline systems, DN Straight Reducers and Short play an important role when connecting pipes of different diameters together. In the transportation pipeline systems of industries such as chemical, petroleum, and natural gas, different specifications of DN Straight Reducers and Short are used to convert pipeline diameters according to process requirements and equipment interface sizes.
Equipment inlet and outlet connection: The inlet and outlet diameters of many industrial equipment may not be consistent with the diameter of the connecting pipeline. In this case, short equal diameter reducers need to be used for connection, such as pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, etc., to ensure smooth fluid transmission between the equipment and the pipeline system.
characteristic
Compact structure: Due to its short design, it occupies less space and is suitable for pipeline layout situations with limited space. It can achieve changes in pipeline diameter in a small space, improving the flexibility of pipeline system layout.
Low fluid resistance: The design of equal diameter reducers makes the flow of fluid in the pipeline smoother, reduces eddy currents and resistance caused by changes in pipeline diameter, reduces energy loss, and improves the operational efficiency of the pipeline system.
Easy installation: Short equal diameter reducers are relatively lightweight and smaller in size, making the installation process more convenient and easy to operate, reducing installation time and labor costs.
