ISO-K 90° Elbow

Basic concepts
ISO-K 90 ° Elbow, also known as ISO-K type 90 ° elbow, is a pipe fitting used for connecting vacuum system pipelines. It is mainly used to change the direction of pipelines and make them make 90 degree turns.
Specification and size
Pipe diameter range: Common pipe diameter specifications include DN63, DN80, DN100, DN160, DN200, DN250, DN320, etc., covering various sizes from small to large diameters, which can meet different flow and pressure requirements for vacuum system pipeline connections.
Flange size: The size standards of ISO-K type flanges follow relevant international standards, such as DIN 28404 and ISO 1609, ensuring interchangeability and compatibility between pipes produced by different manufacturers.
Performance characteristics
High vacuum performance: Using special sealing structures and materials, it can maintain good sealing performance in high vacuum environments, ensuring stable vacuum degree of the vacuum system, and can reach a vacuum degree of 1 × 10 ⁻⁹ mbar or even higher.
Low flow resistance: The design of a 90 degree radius elbow has better flow conductivity compared to a right angle elbow, which can reduce the resistance of gas flow in the pipeline, improve the pumping efficiency of the vacuum system, and make gas flow smoother in the pipeline.
High surface smoothness: The internal and external surfaces of the pipe fittings are usually polished or glass bead sandblasted to reduce surface roughness, which can reduce gas adsorption and residue, avoid impurities from contaminating the vacuum system, and also improve the corrosion resistance of the pipeline.
